Joanna Reilly has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Their most recent position is Chief Development Officer at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, where they currently work. Galperin from 2009 to 2011. Joanna began their career as an Editorial Intern at Tor Books and as a Marketing and Public Relations Intern at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin.

Joanna Reilly obtained their B.A. degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as English, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In 2011 and 2012, they pursued a Fundraising Certificate in Nonprofit Management at UCLA. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Nonprofit Financial Stewardship from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in April 2021, as well as a 200 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification from the Yoga Alliance in April 2017.
