What you’ll be doing;

-Collecting, verifying and reporting newsworthy information about the Nigerian political and policy space creatively and engagingly. -Create written web content from the readers’ perspective. -Representing Citizen’s identity and energy to our external audience/readers in a creative manner. -Writing and delivering engaging content promptly. -Working on notes, assignments and leads from editors. -Identifying key content areas that Citizen can incorporate and actively working on them.

What makes you qualified for this role?

-You know how to use humour; a lot. -You’re passionate about the Nigerian political and policy space. (that is, you are not only getting your political analysis from Twitter and you do not find current affairs remotely boring). -You know how to assemble thoughts into a stable story. -You are self-driven and very creative. -You have a proven track record in writing and journalism. -You’ve excellent communication and presentation skills. -You are well-spoken, engaging, and knowledgeable about news events. -You are critically minded, meticulous, and excellent at recalling facts. -You’ve great interpersonal and rapport-building skills. -You have an amazing eye for news.
