Big Cabal Media (BCM) is on a mission to create a new generation of media brands, providing content for the digital African audiences, both on and off the continent. Our brands, TechCabal and Zikoko have distinguished themselves for their ability to deliver smart and sophisticated content in relatable and easily digestible ways.

TechCabal covers startups, innovation and technology in Africa in-depth. Its intelligence and research unit, TechCabal Insights (TC Insights)provides actionable data on startups and the tech ecosystem across Africa to investors, entrepreneurs, big tech companies, regulators and other players on and off the continent. We do this through reports, standalone infographics, events and custom research. To date, we have published three industry reports; one about Nigeria’s fintech future and two paid reports about the State of Health Tech in Nigeria and the Future of Energy in Sub-Saharan Africa. We’ve also published a report about Nigerian Women in Tech.

Over the next 3 years, TC Insights is aiming to become one of the leading digital economy consultancies in Africa providing valuable technology products. We are looking for a Lead Analyst; an experienced analyst with research, data analysis and visualization skills.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who has consulting experience from top management consulting firms and has experience producing consumer reports. More importantly, we would like someone who is a good team player with a great attitude and is easy to work with and will support the Team Lead to deliver client projects and editorial reports and will also build out product and services for TC Insights.

The role is a full time one but there will be a 3-month probation period. It’s a hybrid role with a few days in person.

Responsibilities:

-Work with the team lead to achieving the objective of building Africa’s leading digital economy consultancy.

-Help the team transition to a consultancy with best practices, processes, branding etc.

-Lead the unit’s efforts to produce high-quality industry reports, custom research and other consulting products for internal and external clients.

-Support the team lead to meet the unit’s revenue targets. -Drive efforts to build the unit's content marketing stack for its consulting service.

-Assist the team lead in re-structuring its events around its research solutions.

-Provide support to unit lead wherever possible.
