Gemma Drake

Gemma Drake is an experienced professional in systemic impact and design innovation, currently serving as the Director of Systemic Impact at Big Change since August 2025. Previously, Gemma was a Lecturer in Design Innovation and Service Design at the Glasgow School of Art from January 2024 to July 2025, specializing in the Service Design Masters Programme. With extensive experience as a Systems Change Consultant since January 2017, Gemma has developed strategies for tackling complex challenges through coaching, regenerative organizational design, and applied systems thinking. Notable roles include Systems Change Lead at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and the Children's Society, alongside experience in various educational positions including Associate Lecturer at the University of the Arts London. Educational achievements include a BA in Architecture from The University of Manchester and a Professional Diploma in Architecture from London Metropolitan University.
