Prior to this, Jens worked at WEDA Dammann & Westerkamp GmbH from January 2001 to October 2012 as a Project Manager specializing in liquid feeding for pigs and in panel construction, service, maintenance, and commissioning. Jens holds a degree in Meister Elektrotechnik für Energie- und Gebäudetechnik from bfe Oldenburg.
