Caleb Valerian

Caleb Valerian has a strong background in technical writing and software development. Caleb began their career in 2017 with Microsoft, where they worked as a Tools Programmer and later as a Programmer Writer. In these roles, they developed internal tools and documentation to improve the art team's pipeline and authored tutorials and documentation on Azure Bot Services.

In 2018, Caleb joined VRstudios as a Tools Programmer, where they worked with Unreal Engine 4 and Unity3D to implement game content for VR. Caleb also optimized textures and 3D assets for real-time development.

Caleb then moved on to Oculus VR, where they served as a Technical Writer. Caleb spearheaded the creation of an internal SDK and documented C++ and C# code for end consumers and internal partner teams.

In 2019, Caleb joined Unity Technologies as a Technical Writer, where they wrote workflow documents, advised best practices, and authored and published video tutorials of workflows in Unity3D.

Caleb then worked at Amazon as a Technical Writer II, managing a project to rewrite the corporate team's technical documentation and implementing a new branding and design utilizing XWiki, HTML, and CSS.

In 2020, Caleb joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer in Test. In this role, they condensed extensive documentation into a concise guide, contributed to an automated testing framework, and automated complex manual test cases.

Caleb's most recent position is with Microsoft as a Senior Technical Writer at Big Fish Games. Caleb works with a strong team of writers to improve and maintain the existing wiki foundation.

Throughout their career, Caleb has demonstrated expertise in technical writing, software development, and project management.

Caleb Valerian's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Benson Polytechnic Highschool. During their time there, they pursued a degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, which they completed in 2008.
