Daniel Phommathep

Lead Software Design Engineer at Big Fish Games

Daniel Phommathep has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Daniel started their career as a Software Engineer/Tester Co-op at Nortel Networks in 2000 and then worked as a Software Engineering Contractor at EM Interactive from 2000 to 2001. Daniel also served as a Teaching Assistant in the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2001.

Daniel then joined Redfin as a Contractor, Software Engineering in 2004. Daniel later moved to Amazon.com in 2001, where they worked as a Software Design Engineer II for seven years. During their time at Amazon.com, they gained experience in designing and building software systems.

In 2008, Daniel joined Big Fish Games as a Lead Software Design Engineer. In this role, they led a team of Software Developers to design, build, and support core services used by software development and business operations groups. Daniel was also responsible for managing the performance of the developers on their team. Daniel designed the high-level system architecture for the Next Gen Customer Support Tool and designed each major component in the system. Daniel evaluated technologies for the company and utilized Scrum methodology for software delivery.

Throughout their career, Daniel has worked with various technologies, including Java, Tomcat, and MySQL.

Daniel Phommathep attended Brookwood High School from 1993 to 1997. Daniel then pursued a BS degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2001.
