Kory Kirk has extensive work experience in the tech industry. Kory started their career in 2006 as a Technical Consultant at Villanova's Techzone. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Ad Hoc Wireless Network Research, where they analyzed properties of ad hoc networks. In 2010, they worked as a Freelance Computer Scientist while also participating in Google Summer of Code with The Tor Project/EFF.
In 2011, Kory joined TextureMedia, Inc. as a Senior Developer. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer at NIMBOXX, Inc. and then joined Health Recovery Solutions as VP of Software Engineering from 2015 to 2017. Kory was a Senior Programmer at Portalarium from 2017 to 2018.
Kory's most recent role was at Shutterfly, Inc. where they served as a Principal Software Engineer from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they were the Technical Lead for a brand-wide user engagement initiative and also led the experimental feature team for Snapfish. Kory developed various new product capabilities such as single sign-on, advanced metadata extraction, product recommendation, facial clustering, and search.
Currently, Kory works at Big Fish Games as a Lead Solutions Engineer, starting in September 2021.
Kory Kirk's education history includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from Villanova University, which was obtained from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Math at Villanova University, from 2005 to 2009. Kory also holds a Technician Class Amateur Radio License, which was obtained from the Federal Communications Commission in August 2015.
