Jessica Sutherland has been working in media and education since 2009. Jessica began as a Teacher Intern at Waterford Kettering High School and then went on to become a Co-instructor at the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association Middle School Conference. In 2010, they worked as a Yeas & Nays Intern Reporter for the Washington Examiner. From 2011-2014, they were the Treasurer for the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association, the Michigan state director for the Journalism Education Association, and the Faculty Advisor for George Mason University's Washington Journalism & Media Conference. In 2014, they also began working for Big Foot Media as a Production Manager, Social Media Manager, Producer, and more. Additionally, since 2009, they have been the Creator and Moderator of an internationally-recognized online student newspaper exchange.
Jessica Sutherland attended Michigan State University from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism. Jessica then returned to Michigan State University for a Teaching Certification Program from 2009 to 2010.
