Rick Chorney is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency services and long-haul transportation. Since February 2019, Rick has worked as a Long-haul Flatdeck Specialist for both Nortrans Freight Management Systems and Newtrux Freight Management Systems. Prior to this, a career with Prairie Mountain Regional Health Authority as an Emergency Medical Technician spanned from September 2008 to August 2017, offering emergency medical services across the Prairie Mountain Health Region. Additionally, Rick served as Deputy Fire Chief at Oak Lake Sifton Fire Department and contributed to the Heavy Urban Search and Rescue Team (CAN-TF4) with the Government of Manitoba from June 1994 to August 2017. Rick's early career included roles as a Supervisor in Rural Protective Services and Chief Constable for the RM of Whitehead Police Service, along with valuable experience as a Corrections Officer with the Corrections Emergency Response Unit. Educational credentials include a degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from RRC Polytech and training as an Emergency Medical Technician from Assiniboine Regional Health Authority.
