Szilvia Szalai

Szilvia Szalai has extensive work experience in the language services industry. Szilvia currently holds the role of Vice President of Integration at BIG Language Solutions, where they are responsible for assessing and managing integration risks, developing contingency plans, and leading end-to-end integration efforts. Szilvia also builds relationships with leaders and staff at acquired companies and provides leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams.

Prior to their current role, Szalai worked as a Senior Director of Integration at BIG Language Solutions. Before that, they worked at ProTranslating, where they held positions such as Director of Localization Program Management, Strategic Account Manager, and Lead Project Manager. At Alpha CRC, they served as a Program Manager and Localization Project Manager, managing multi-million word globalization projects and offering specialist services.

Earlier in their career, Szalai worked at Kerry Services Ltd as a Translation and Localization Project Manager, specializing in technical translation for engineering and IT sectors. Szilvia was responsible for liaising with clients and suppliers, managing translation workflows, and providing technical support to translators.

Szilvia began their career as an HR Officer at Trenkwalder Hungary, where they handled recruitment and selection processes for blue-collar staff in the electronics and automotive industries.

Szilvia Szalai obtained a degree in HR Analysis from the Quantum School of Business from 2003 to 2005. Szilvia also received additional certifications in Business and Administration from Somerset College in 2013, SDL Trados Studio 2011 for Project Managers from the SDL Certification program in 2012, and a Certificate of English at a professional level from EC English School Cambridge in June 2007.
