Executive Director & Founder at Big Reuse

Justin Green has a diverse and extensive work experience. Justin is the Executive Director & Founder of Big Reuse, where they oversee the non-profit organization and manages a team of 40 employees, 500 volunteers, and 3,000 donors. Justin has successfully grown the organization's annual budget to over $4.5 million.

Prior to Big Reuse, Green worked at Build It Green!NYC as the Program Director, where they launched a non-profit building materials reuse social enterprise program. Justin expanded the program to 2 locations, managed a team of 30 staff, and achieved an annual revenue of over $2.5 million. Justin also diverted 2000 tons of materials annually from landfills and created green living wage jobs.

Green was also the Program Director at NYC CoolRoofs, where they developed and directed the first two years of the program with a budget of $1.6 million. Justin collaborated with over 1000 volunteers to coat a million sqft of roofs with reflective coatings in non-profit and low-income housing throughout New York City.

Before their non-profit work, Green was a Partner at HCA and worked in various roles such as Marketing Coordinator at ProQuest and Special Assistant to the President at Community Environmental Center. Justin also worked as a Loan Associate at the Low Income Investment Fund where they coordinated financing for affordable housing projects and oversaw a $5 million loan portfolio.

Justin Green attended Oberlin College from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a focus on Community Development.
