Big Top Amsterdam

Big Top Amsterdam was founded in 2016 by multi-platinum DJ and Producer Bakermat, also known as Lodewijk Fluttert, and his business partner Bob van Wees. In over 12 years of career, Bakermat has paved the way for FeelGood Music as a genre. Throughout this journey, he felt a need for change within the music industry, both for himself and other artists that seeked more from a label. ‘We started Big Top with the vision that the label should embody all the qualities that I, as an artist, seek in a label. A label where artists are treated with the same attention, respect and support I’ve always wished for.” - Bakermat ‘As an artist first, and founder second, Lodewijk himself is the ultimate test case for the label. He doesn’t shy away from giving feedback when needed, keeping our team sharp and pushing the label to improve every day.’ - Bob van Wees To guide us through this ever-changing industry, Big Top is built upon three core values: PARTNERSHIPS - Stronger through collaboration: We build equal partnerships with our artists, based on mutual collaboration and trust in each other’s vision. We understand each partner has different needs and its own story to tell. By acknowledging this, we design tailor-made plans together with our artists, empowering them to be in control of their narrative and build long-term musical careers. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY - Quality in everything we do: We value long-term artist development over short-term success. Quality and authenticity prevail in everything we do, from the selected projects we sign on and the stories we tell, to the team we are building. FEELGOOD - Founded on a FeelGood spirit: FeelGood is at the heart of Big Top and the music genre we are known for. We are commited to ensure a warm and empowering office culture, as well as to the wellbeing of our partners - offering support and guidance that goes beyond the business side.
