Alec Klinghoffer

Alec Klinghoffer has extensive work experience in the oil and energy industry. Alec is currently the VP and Refinery Manager at Big West Oil, LLC since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at CVR Energy, Inc. where they held various roles such as Operations Manager, Technical Services Manager, Engineering Superintendent, Operations Superintendent, Senior Economics and Planning Engineer, and Principal Engineer from 2012 to 2022. Before joining CVR Energy, Alec worked at KiOR as an Operations Superintendent from 2011 to 2012. Alec also worked at CVR Energy, Inc. again from 2007 to 2011, where they held positions as Operations Superintendent and Tech Service Engineer. Alec began their career at ConocoPhillips as a Tech Service Engineer and later as a Kinetics Modeling Engineer from 2002 to 2007.

Alec Klinghoffer obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Towson University during the period of 1985 to 1990. Alec then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Tulsa from 1994 to 1997. Later on, they enrolled at Texas A&M University where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from 1996 to 2002.
