Masha (Maria) McConaghy has a diverse work experience in the fields of technology, art, and culture. From 2010-2011, they were the Associate Director of Douglas Udell Gallery Vancouver. In 2011, they were the Curator of the exhibition "CONNECTING.THE.DOTS" as part of Culture Days Canada. In 2013, they were the Co-Curator of the exhibition "DYSRAPHIC CITY" and also held a Curatorial Residency at Node Center for Curatorial Studies. From 2014-2017, they were the Founder/CCO of ascribe.io, a service for artists, galleries and collectors to register, transfer and archive digital art. Masha (Maria) was also the Cultural Projects Director at RusMedia RR GmbH and the Curator of the exhibition "FLASHBACK Meditations on Memory and Film". Finally, from 2017-present, they are the Founder at large/CMO/Strategic Partnerships at BigchainDB, a scalable, blockchain database.

Masha (Maria) McConaghy has a long history of education. Masha (Maria) began their studies in 2003, obtaining a Maîtrise d’Arts Plastiques (M.A.) from PARIS VIII UNIVERSITY VINCENNES-ST. DENIS in France in 2004. The following year, they earned a D.E.A. (Pre-doctorate in Image Arts and Contemporary Art ) from the same university. In 2006, Masha attended the École du Louvre, where they earned a Museology Degree in 2007. Finally, in 2009, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Art and Art Sciences from PARIS 1 UNIVERSITY, PANTHEON-SORBONNE.
