Christiana Okafor

Christiana Okafor is a dedicated and accomplished individual with extensive experience in research, leadership, and professional development. Currently serving as an Access to Care Intern at MaineHealth since June 2022, Christiana also holds a position as an NSF REU Intern at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, where participation in a competitive research program focuses on Trace Metal Biogeochemistry. Christiana has been a member of the Ron Brown Scholar Program, an elite professional development initiative, and serves on the National Youth Advisory Council for America Saves. Additional roles include an intern at Bowdoin College's Student Aid Office, Anti-Racism Fellow, and a Clinical Intern at Sunray Animal Clinic. Christiana's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Africana Studies from Bowdoin College, a study period at The University of Edinburgh, and recognition as Valedictorian at the High School for Law and Justice.
