Tanya Avila

Co-founder, CLO, and COO at Bigfork Technologies

Tanya Avila has had a diverse and successful career in the legal field. Tanya began their career in 2003 as a Staff Counsel at GoDaddy.com, where they provided transactional support for agreements in a variety of corporate matters and managed the company's privacy and data retention policies. In 2007, they moved to Austin and worked as a contract attorney at AMD, responsible for the primary support of AMD's procurement group. In 2008, they became the US Division General Counsel at Wincor Nixdorf, the first and sole attorney for the US subsidiary. In 2010, they were appointed Interim General Counsel at Volusion, where they established the company's contracting process and developed and implemented procedures for litigation management, employee policies, brand compliance licensing, privacy, abuse management and intellectual property management. In 2012, they joined SecureNet LLC as General Counsel, Secretary and Head of Compliance. In 2016, they became Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at BorrowersFirst, Inc., where they managed the day to day legal affairs of the company with a primary focus on operations, technology, corporate governance and employment matters. Finally, in 2017, they co-founded Bigfork Technologies, LLC and served as the company's CLO and COO, creating a suite of SaaS solutions that allows in-house lawyers to manage the law department's workload from intake to metrics reporting.

Tanya Avila completed their JD at Arizona State University College of Law in 2003. Prior to that, they attended Arizona State University.
