Alexandra Hughes Pailet

As Director of People & Internal Communications at BiggerPockets, Alex has the privilege of focusing on the most important aspect of any company—the people! Alex is responsible for all things HR and any people-related questions at the company, as well as running the BiggerPockets Conference and dabbling in any other special projects.

Outside of her role at BiggerPockets, Alex is also a real estate investor and house hacker. Born and raised in North Carolina, Alex moved to Denver in 2016 to join the BiggerPockets team and got her start as an investor with her first property in 2018. She began renting out rooms in her SFH to housemates-turned-friends! Since then she has fully transitioned that property into a long-term rental and has also started long-distance investing in Chattanooga, TN. She hopes to continue to grow her portfolio there over time.

She and her fiance, Dave, who also works in the real estate industry and is an investor, live in Denver with their kitten, Soy, and are currently house hacking their “forever home.” You can follow along on her newbie lessons in real estate investing and attempts at DIY projects on Instagram.
