Bret Wichert

Bret Wichert, CPA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in audit, financial management, and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Audit and Other Assurances at BiggsKofford since January 2020, Bret specializes in nonprofit organizations and closely-held businesses, overseeing all aspects of audit engagements. Prior to this, Bret was the Chief Financial Officer at the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc., where responsibilities included managing finance and accounting, marketing, and legal compliance, while also liaising with the Audit Committee. As Vice President of Finance at the Association of Christian Schools International, Bret supervised various departments, providing high-level financial management services. Bret was a partner at CapinCrouse LLP from 1993 to 2012, contributing significantly as the Central Regional Director. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Azusa Pacific University and licensure as a Certified Public Accountant in Colorado and Texas.
