Murodzhon Akhmedov

Murodzhon Akhmedov is the CEO and co-founder of BigOmics. Prior to that, they worked as a bioinformatician at IRB | Institute for Research in Biomedicine from May 2018 to March 2021, at Institute of Oncology Research from September 2017 to April 2018, and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from March 2016 to November 2016. Murodzhon also worked as a research assistant in optimization, deep learning and machine learning tools at Swiss AI lab IDSIA from September 2013 to September 2017. Lastly, they were a teaching assistant at Sabanci University from September 2011 to June 2013.

Murodzhon Akhmedov has a PhD in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Doctor of Philosophy in Informatics from USI Università della Svizzera italiana, and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Sabanci University. Murodzhon also has certification from Solid-Works in CSWA - Certified Solid Works Associate and from The ISO 9001 Group in ISO 9001:2008 Quality Control System Internal Audit Certificate.
