Joanne Hiu, FCCA, MIA

Joanne Hiu, FCCA, MIA has a strong background in finance and accounting with experience in various roles and industries. Joanne is currently the Group Head Of Finance (Regional) at BigPay | Challenge Banking, overseeing the finance department for multiple regions including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Philippines. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Financial Reporting at Celcom Axiata Berhad, managing accounting functions and implementing new accounting standards. Joanne also worked as a Senior Financial System & Control Analyst at Repsol Oil & Gas Malaysia Limited, leading joint venture audits and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Joanne started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they progressed from Associate to Audit Manager and gained experience in servicing local and multinational clients in various industries. Joanne also had a brief internship as a Vacation Trainee at KPMG. Joanne's work experience highlights their expertise in financial management, accounting, audit, and team leadership.

Joanne Hiu, FCCA, MIA, pursued their education in Accounting at Multimedia University from 2003 to 2009, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree. Following that, they enrolled in the ACCA program for Accounting and Finance. However, no specific start or end dates were provided for this program.

In terms of additional certifications, Joanne obtained the FCCA (Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) from ACCA in March 2013. Later, in November 2019, they obtained certification from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
