Jim Scannell is a seasoned sales professional with extensive experience in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as a Regional Sales Engineer at Bihler of America since April 2022, Jim previously held various roles at Smalley from June 2008 to April 2022, including Territory Manager, Senior Sales Engineer, and Senior Product Application Engineer. In these positions, Jim managed over 500 customer accounts, designed precision retaining ring and spring solutions, and executed cost analysis and product testing while liaising with manufacturing and quality control. Jim's expertise is complemented by significant international travel through Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, focusing on customer relations and business development. Jim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, graduating in 2008.
