Marc Hedlund

Marc Hedlund is an experienced technology executive and board member with a significant record in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Board Chair for Bike East Bay since 2022, Marc was previously Board Chair for Code2040 from 2012 to 2023, focusing on diversity in technology. Experience includes high-level positions at Mailchimp, where Marc was Site Director and Sr. Director of Engineering, and at Skyliner, a startup acquired by Mailchimp. As VP of Engineering at Stripe, Marc played a key role in scaling the company, while earlier positions included SVP of Product Development and Engineering at Etsy and co-founder/CEO of Wesabe. Marc's career is marked by a strong commitment to empowering underrepresented groups in tech and fostering inclusive environments. Marc holds a B.A. in Political Science from Reed College.
