Community Outreach Coordinator at Bike New York

Louis Bernier-Héroux is an experienced community outreach coordinator currently working with Bike New York since September 2016, and also serves as a research associate on a voluntary basis with Piétons Québec since January 2015. In this role, Louis leads research initiatives advising Quebec's Ministry of Transportation on best practices for road safety, particularly focusing on pedestrian safety informed by Sweden's Vision Zero policy. Prior experience includes a contractual role as a research associate with Vivre en Ville, a project manager position with Accès transports viables, and volunteer research contributions to Transportation Alternatives. An educational background includes a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Université catholique de Louvain and a Master's degree in Philosophy from Erasmus Mundus, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Université Laval.
