Samiur R.

Samiur R. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Samiur currently holds the position of Assistant Director & Head of Business Development at Bikroy starting in 2023. Prior to this role, Samiur R. served as the Head of Sales Planning at Xiaomi Bangladesh from 2019 to 2023. At Xiaomi, they were responsible for the overall product strategy and go-to-market planning of various product categories.

Before joining Xiaomi, Samiur R. worked as the Sales Operations Manager at ADA Trading Bangladesh from 2017 to 2019. In this role, they established a CRM solution, implemented sales MIS, set monthly targets and KPIs, and conducted commission calculations for sales teams and business partners.

From 2015 to 2016, Samiur R. was the Head of Business Development in Bangladesh for Meed.net. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Product & Market Development at United Commercial Bank Limited from 2013 to 2015, leading the Mobile Financial Services division.

Earlier in their career, Samiur R. held positions such as Head of Business Intelligence & Market Research at Ollo Wireless Internet, Manager - Business Analysis and Manager - Business Partnering at Robi Axiata Limited, and Business Controller at AXIATA (Bangladesh) Ltd.

Samiur R. began their career in 2009 as an Executive in Products & Market Development at Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited [Citycell]. In this role, they were involved in product development and design, successfully launching several post-paid and pre-paid products and implementing revenue enhancement and customer reactivation campaigns.

Samiur R. completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Technology Sydney from 2005 to 2008. During their time there, they focused on Marketing and Information Technology. Prior to attending university, they attended The Aga Khan School in Dhaka from 1998 to 2004 where they completed their A-Levels in the field of Science.

In addition to their formal education, Samiur R. also obtained certifications in Advanced Competitive Strategy and Competitive Strategy from Coursera in 2014 and 2013 respectively.
