Tobias Kamber

General Counsel & COO | Member of the Executive Committee at BIL Suisse

Tobias Kamber has a diverse range of work experience in the financial industry. Tobias currently holds the position of General Counsel & COO and is a member of the Executive Committee at BIL Suisse, starting in September 2022. Before this role, they served as General Counsel and was a member of the Executive Committee at BIL Suisse from January 2021 to September 2022.

Prior to their time at BIL Suisse, Kamber worked at Julius Baer from 2007 to 2020, where they held various roles. Tobias served as Deputy General Counsel PB and Head of Legal CH & EMEA from January to December 2020. From July 2018 to December 2019, they were the Deputy CRO for Intermediaries & Global Custody. Kamber also held the position of Head of Legal International from April 2015 to December 2019. Tobias served as Deputy CRO Americas from January 2017 to June 2018 and as the Head of Legal and Head of Legal North Asia from April 2010 to March 2015. Additionally, they were the Head of Legal & Compliance from June to September 2014 and the Head of Legal Front Asia, Middle East and Eastern Europe from April 2007 to March 2010.

Before joining Julius Baer, Kamber worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Clariden Leu Ltd. from an unknown start date to 2007.

Tobias Kamber's education history includes various degrees and programs. Tobias completed the Julius Baer Team Leader Booster Program in 2019 at IMD. Tobias also received an LL.M. in US Law from the Santa Clara University School of Law, where their field of study consisted of Venture Capital, International Business Transactions, and Intellectual Property. Additionally, they attained the degree of Attorney-at-law, admission to practice in Switzerland, from the High Court of the Canton of Zurich. Lastly, they hold a lic. iur. (Master of law) from the University of Zurich.
