Daniel Green

Director, Global Content & Campaigns at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Daniel Green is the Director of Global Content & Campaigns at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Daniel has over 20 years of experience in content creation and management, and has worked with some of the biggest names in news and media.

Green got their start in 1986 as a manager at The Cheesecake Factory. Daniel then moved on to ABC News in 1991, where they worked as a senior producer and producer for Nightline. In 2008, they left ABC News to join Home Front Communications as their Senior Vice President.

At Home Front Communications, Green launched The Content Project, a division of the firm focused on helping nonprofits and government agencies design, develop and disseminate their own content directly to target audiences. Daniel was successful in signing new clients to the firm, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Rescue Committee, Save the Children, the US Census Bureau and the US Export-Import Bank.

Green has been with the Gates Foundation since 2010, and in their current role as Director of Global Content & Campaigns, they oversee the development and implementation of global campaigns and content strategy.

Daniel Green studied at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, where they obtained their MALD in International Relations. Daniel also holds a BA from University of California, Los Angeles in Communications, and studied International Relations at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Additionally, they completed a summer semester in Mexican Art and Theirtory at Universidad de Guadalajara.
