Laura Lamberti

Laura Lamberti leads efforts in epidemiology, data analysis, and impact modeling to inform product development and cross-cutting strategies for the foundation’s Maternal, Newborn & Child Health Discovery & Tools team. Before assuming her current role, she led evidence generation and pathogen prioritization efforts for the foundation’s Enteric and Diarrheal Diseases team and worked on treatment innovation strategy for that team as well as the Pneumonia team.

Before joining the foundation in 2015, Laura was an assistant scientist in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she conducted extensive research based in India and collaborated with the Maternal Child Epidemiology Estimation group to model the global burden of all-cause and pathogen-specific maternal, newborn, and child mortality and the impact of health interventions.

Laura holds a Ph.D. and a master of health science in global disease epidemiology and control from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Columbia University.
