Kim Martin

Kim Martin is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in public health and advocacy. Currently serving as the Communications and Marketing Senior Advisor for The Challenge Initiative at the William H. Gates Sr. Institute for Population and Reproductive Health since April 2017, Kim previously held the position of Communications Director at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health's Center for Communication Programs from November 2012 to April 2017. In earlier roles, Kim directed communications and public affairs at Johns Hopkins Children's Center and served as Advocacy Director for strategic communication programs at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs. Additional experience includes positions as Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard, Editor at McGraw-Hill, and Reporter at the Associated Press. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Journalism from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the University of Maryland Baltimore.
