Fathimath Leeza

Fathimath Leeza is an experienced educator with a career spanning over two decades in various teaching roles. Currently serving as a Lead Teacher and educator at Billabong High International School in the Maldives since December 2014, Fathimath has also held the position of Primary Teacher at Billabong High International School and Kangaroo Kids Dream Campus since January 2011. Previous teaching experience includes stints at Jamaluddin School from January 2001 to June 2006 and Kalaafaanu School from January 1996 to December 2001. Fathimath Leeza holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Avid College, earned between 2016 and 2018, and a Bachelor's degree in Teacher Education and Professional Development from the University of Mysore, completed from 2001 to 2003.

Billabong High International School, Maldives

Billabong High schools were created as a journey forward to fire the imagination of children. The continuing goal is to create meaningful and rewarding learning experiences that will remain with the children for life. The aim is to create a purpose of learning to allow children to be thinkers, innovators and problem solvers and to orchestrate experiences that will result in a natural and integrated development of knowledge, skills and thinking. Overall, at Billabong High, the aim is to empower all the students with the necessary life skills required to meet the demands of a fast paced highly evolving 21st century. Billabong High International School in the Maldives was opened on 8th February 2009. It was the first international school that was opened in Male, the capital island of the country. We offer education to students from Grades 1 to 12, beginning from primary to the completion of secondary IGCSE & A Levels , to a student population of about 800 students. A small class size of approximately 24 students, and 2 to 3 classes within each grade, ensures that all our students get special attention in their classrooms and in all school activities.
