Gunilla Nyström

Gunilla Nyström has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gunilla is currently working at BillerudKorsnäs as a Communications and Change Management lead. Prior to this, they worked as a Communications Consultant at Gilly, where they provided communication services on a temporary basis. Gunilla has also worked as a Consultant for NCC, where they focused on change communication for digitalization and sustainability projects. Gunilla has experience as a Communication Strategist in various organizations, including Linköpings kommun, Gränges, Polismyndigheten, and Polisen i Östergötlands län. Gunilla has also worked as a Communicator for SMHI and SKL. Gunilla has expertise in internal and external communication, change management, crisis communication, and strategic planning.

Gunilla Nyström's education history is as follows:

Gunilla Nyström began their education in 1995 at Lindenwood University, where they studied languages, specifically French, Spanish, and English. Gunilla then attended Lund University from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Anthropology.

In 2000, Nyström enrolled at Linköping University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering of Media and Communications. Gunilla completed their studies in 2004. During their time at Linköping University, they also participated in a management program in 2004, focusing on the importance of branding.

Nyström continued to expand their skills and knowledge through various courses and programs. In 2004, they completed Affärsutvecklings- och ledarskapskurser (Business Development and Leadership Courses) at Östsvenska Handelskammaren. Gunilla also obtained a diploma in Board Work from Östsvenska Handelskammaren in 2006.

In 2012, Nyström pursued a course in crisis communication at MSB (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap). Gunilla also completed a program on value-creating communication at Sveriges kommunikatörer in the same year. In addition, they obtained the title of "Den coachande kommunikatören" (The Coaching Communicator) from Sveriges kommunikatörer.

Nyström further enhanced their communication skills and professional development through additional courses. Gunilla completed the Systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete (Systematic Work Environment Management) program at Polismyndigheten in 2017 and the Stabsmetodik (Staff Methodology) program in 2016, also at Polismyndigheten.

In recent years, Nyström has focused on change management and effective communication. Gunilla became a Certified Change Manager after completing the Certified Change Manager program at Prosci in 2022. Gunilla also completed a program on communicating effectively based on the brain's conditions at Sveriges kommunikatörer in 2023.

Nyström has also been an active member of Sveriges kommunikatörer, participating in networking events and groups such as "Nätverk: Kommunikationsansvariga" (Network: Communication Managers) in 2018 and "Nätverk för kommunikationsansvariga" (Network for Communication Managers) in the same year.
