Joanna Brailer, M.Ed., M.L.I.S. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joanna is currently working at Billings Catholic Schools as a CTO/Technology Integration Specialist, where they supervise the integration and implementation of educational technology and software. In their early research career, Joanna worked as a Research Assistant II at both The University of Georgia and UGA Savannah River Ecology Laboratory.

Joanna Brailer, M.Ed., M.L.I.S. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Excelsior University in 2000. Joanna then pursued a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University, which they completed in 2007. In 2012, Joanna acquired a Master of Library and Information Science degree with a specialization in Information Systems from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including a Professional Teaching Certificate from the Montana Office of Public Instruction obtained in June 2021, a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator certification from Microsoft in 2019, an Apple Teacher certification from Apple in 2017, an Apple Teacher Swift Playgrounds certification from Apple in 2017, a Level 4: Clever Champion certification from Clever Inc. obtained in December 2021, and a Google Certified Educator Level 1 certification from Google in May 2020.
