Xavier Fonseca Fuentes

Xavier Fonseca Fuentes is an experienced intensivist and pulmonologist currently practicing at Billings Clinic since August 2023. Previous positions include intensivist at Advocate Health Care from September 2020 to June 2023, and senior staff physician in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Henry Ford Health from August 2022 to March 2023. Xavier completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at Mayo Clinic from July 2016 to June 2020. Earlier training includes an internal medicine residency at NYC Health + Hospitals from July 2013 to June 2016, and a residency at Grupo Hospitalario Kennedy from March 2012 to June 2013. Additionally, a role as a rural physician with the Ministerio de Salud in Ecuador was held from September 2010 to August 2011. Xavier holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil.
