Brian Taylor

Brian Taylor is a highly skilled scientist with extensive experience in oncology and research. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at BillionToOne since June 2025, Brian has previously held positions as a Postdoctoral Appointee at the Joint BioEnergy Institute and a Postdoctoral Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories. Prior to these roles, Brian was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego, where academic contributions spanned from October 2014 to March 2023, culminating in a Ph.D. in Physics with a specialization in Quantitative Biology. Brian also holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where an early career began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Illinois General Relativity Group.
