Shannon Pipes has a diverse work experience in both technical and educational fields. From 2011 to 2012, Shannon worked as a Mathematics Teacher at Camden County High School. Following that, from 2013 to 2019, they worked as a Teacher of Mathematics at Norfolk Public Schools.
In 2020, Shannon transitioned into the corporate world and joined Billtrust. Shannon first worked as a Data Entry Specialist in May 2020. In May 2020, they became a Payment Operation Specialist, where they processed virtual card payments and addressed customer inquiries. Shannon was recognized with the CS Workhorse award in October 2020 for their exceptional performance.
In February 2021, Shannon was promoted to the role of Associate Business Ops Data Analyst. In this role, they created and maintained a service to match partner issuers with suppliers, monitored alerts, and resolved payment issues amounting to over $650K. In March 2022, they became an Associate Technical Product Owner, contributing to the development of products and services.
Currently, since August 2022, Shannon serves as a Technical Product Owner, further leveraging their skills and experience in a leadership role at Billtrust.
Shannon Pipes completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Temple University in the years 2006 to 2010. Following this, from 2016 to 2020, Pipes pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Old Dominion University.
In addition to these degrees, Shannon Pipes obtained various certifications related to leadership, data analysis, and programming. Furthermore, Shannon Pipes completed Learning Excel: Data-Analysis certification from LinkedIn in March 2020 and From 0 to 1: Learn Python Programming - Easy as Pie certification from StackSkills in January 2020.
