Melanie Arnold

Melanie Arnold has over 18 years of professional experience in the finance and investment industry. Melanie began their career in 2002 as an intern at People's United Bank. In 2004, they were an Intern/Managing Intern at the University of Connecticut Office of Environmental Policy. In 2006, they interned at China National Resources Recycling (CRRA). Melanie then became an Associate at Mehta Partners in 2007. In 2008, they were an Analyst at Trascent Management Consulting. From 2010 to 2017, they held various roles at Manulife, including Portfolio Manager, Senior Portfolio Analyst, and Senior Investment Analyst. From 2016 to 2017, they were a VP Finance and Consultant at Suvie. Currently, they are VP, Finance at Billy, where they are building a platform to manage, verify, and procure insurance easily. Melanie is also leveraging the latest tools in the financial stack for efficient scaling of the back office.

Melanie Arnold has a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor's degree in Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut. Melanie also holds a CAIA Charterholder certification from the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, obtained in September 2013, a Chartered Financial Analyst certification from 16277, obtained in June 2012, and a FINRA Series 7 License from FINRA.
