Javier F. Aviñó is a Partner and Practice Group Leader at Bilzin Sumberg, leading the Land Development & Government Relations Group and co-chairing the Firm's International Group, where they focus on land use, zoning, and environmental law. Javier represents clients in complex development matters, including DERM permitting and comprehensive planning, while also assisting in obtaining approvals for various types of projects across South Florida. Previously, they served as a Land Use and Development Attorney at Greenberg Traurig from 2004 to 2012. In 2014, Javier was recognized as a “40 Under 40” honoree by the South Florida Business Journal for their impactful work in the region. Javier earned their degree from the University of Miami between 2001 and 2004.
