Markku Siltanen is a Production & Development Engineer at BIM Kemi since May 2021, with extensive experience in production supervision across various roles at UPM Communication Papers from January 2013 to May 2021, including day supervisor in sheeting and laboratory supervision. Prior to this, Markku worked at UPM - The Biofore Company from August 1995 to December 2012 as a production supervisor for a coating machine and as a shift supervisor. Markku holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering Technology from Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, along with qualifications in Technology and Paper and Pulp Technology from AEL and the University of Applied Sciences, Imatra, respectively. Markku's educational background also includes a vocational degree in paper production line from UPM Oyj, Lotila.
