Aart van Eekelen

Aart Van Eekelen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the chemical and energy sectors. Currently serving as COO at BIO OIL since 2019, Aart also co-founded the Nederlandse Biodiesel uit Afval Alliantie in 2021. Previous roles include Managing Director at BE | Allbrass Industrial, where responsibilities centered on manufacturing copper alloy products, and COO at Simadan, overseeing operations in the production of 2nd generation biodiesel. Aart's tenure at AkzoNobel spanned over a decade, with positions culminating in Site Manager roles across various production facilities, including those focused on chemical additives. Aart holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and has furthered education at INSEAD.
