Derek Nerland

Derek Nerland has extensive work experience in the field of tax accounting. Derek started their career at Grant Thornton in 2005 and later joined Moss Adams LLP in 2006. Derek then worked at PwC from 2007 to 2011, serving as a Tax Manager. In 2012, they held the position of Senior Manager at Hawaiian Telcom before becoming the Vice President and Manager of Tax at Bank of Hawaii. From 2014 to 2020, Derek worked at KPMG as a Senior Tax Manager. Currently, they are the Head of Tax Accounting at Bio-Rad Laboratories, a role they have held since December 2020.

Derek Nerland completed their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Seattle University in 2005. Later, in 2010, they earned their Master's degree in Tax from San Jose State University.
