Magda Santos

Magda Santos is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in the fields of biology and biochemistry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Bio-Rad Laboratories since October 2017, Magda has also held roles as a Senior Technical Support Consultant and Technical Support Consultant. Prior to this, Magda worked at the University of California, San Francisco, as a Scientist from September 2007 to September 2017, focusing on projects related to vesicle trafficking and neurotransmitter release, as well as developing innovative optical reporters for live imaging. Academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco and a postdoctoral researcher at UFMG, where advanced training in molecular biology techniques was provided. Magda's educational background includes a PhD in Biology - Biochemistry, a Master's degree in Biology - Human Genetics, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology - Biochemistry, all from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
