Dibyendu Kumar

Dibyendu Kumar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in molecular pathology and genomics. Currently serving as the Interim Laboratory Section Chief for Cancer Genomics and Molecular Pathology at BioReference since July 2022, Dibyendu Kumar integrates scientific advancements into patient care while overseeing quality assurance. Previously held positions include Associate Director and Pathologist, where expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) was utilized for cancer data analysis. Dibyendu Kumar has also contributed to academia as an ABMGG Fellow at Rutgers University – Newark and as Director of the Genomics Core Facility at Rutgers from 2011 to 2022, managing various sequencing protocols and genome-focused studies. Earlier career roles included Section Director and Coordinator at the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research and Research Scientist at the University of Delhi South Campus. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, and Bioinformatics, along with an MPhil and a Master's degree from Delhi University.
