Eric Antoniou

Eric Antoniou is the Director of Genomics Research and Development at BioReference Laboratories, a position held since August 2020. In this role, Eric has successfully established and validated multiple oncology genomic assays, significantly advancing the diagnostic capabilities of the organization. Prior to this, Eric served as the Assistant Director of Genomics R&D at BioReference Laboratories / GenPath Diagnostics from October 2017 to August 2020, where the focus was on creating and validating clinical diagnostic genomic tests and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Previous experience includes leading the RNA-Seq group at Ginkgo Bioworks, managing the Next Generation Sequencing Center at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and overseeing gene expression services at The Jackson Laboratory. Eric holds a PhD in Genetics from Université de Limoges, as well as a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology from Université de Bordeaux.
