Mashal Zia has a strong background in software engineering and architecture. They started their career at Xavor Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they focused on web development and created an automated deployment utility. They then joined BioReference Laboratories as a Software Architect, where they designed application architecture, managed messaging interfaces, and load balanced interfaces. After a brief role as a Software Architect at Pefin, they returned to BioReference Laboratories as the Director of Software Development. In this role, they led a development team and created a Rapid Covid Testing Application, implemented an API strategy for the enterprise, and created a developer portal using Azure services. Their current position is Vice President of Software Engineering at BioReference Laboratories.
Mashal Zia earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Hamdard University between 1999 and 2001. Later, between 2002 and 2005, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Software Engineering at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology.
