Fernando Torres

Fernando Torres has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the biotechnology and genomics industries. Fernando is currently a Director of Product Management at BioAgilytix since 2023. Prior to that, they held positions at Q² Solutions, where they served as Director of Genomics Product Management and Genomics Product Manager from 2020 to 2023. In these roles, they focused on strategic pricing, market research, financial modeling, and product costing for genomics diagnostic testing. Fernando also managed a genomics clinical trial testing portfolio and collaborated with technology and pharma partners. Before Q² Solutions, Fernando worked at Invivoscribe as a Technical Business Development Manager from 2017 to 2020, where they were responsible for new business opportunities, sales growth, and educational campaigns. Fernando started their career at Asuragen in various roles, including Field Product Manager and Scientist, specializing in NGS assays and molecular diagnostics. Fernando Torres holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from St.Edward's University. Fernando also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Biology with a focus on Pathogenesis and Immunology from The University of Texas at Austin. In addition, they have obtained certifications as a Technologist in Molecular Biology from the American Society for Clinical Pathology in April 2016, and as a Hootsuite Certified Professional from Hootsuite Media Inc. in 2016.
