Dominika Kowalczyk, PhD has a diverse work experience. Dominika began their career in 2011 as an Intern at IGBMC, where they worked on a project involving qualitative analysis of gene expression in the mouse brain. In 2013, they worked as an Intern at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) on a project focused on LIM kinase inhibitors as potential cancer therapeutics. That same year, they also worked at ZF Polpharma SA as part of the Polpharma Academy Training, where they gained experience in pharmaceutical products development, pharmaceutical analysis, and instrumental techniques used in the analysis of drug substance and product. In 2016, they worked at OPPF-Harwell on a project focused on Frontiers of recombinant multi-protein complex expression in insect and mammalian cells. In 2017, they worked at the University of St Andrews as part of the CCP4 Protein Crystallography Summer School. In 2021, they worked at the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School on a Practical Project Management project. Currently, they are working at BioAscent as a Scientist.

Dominika Kowalczyk, PhD obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Biotechnology from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology between 2008 and 2012. Dominika then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the same institution between 2012 and 2013. In 2014, they began a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Biology at the University of Glasgow, which they completed in 2018. In 2013, they obtained an IELTS band 8,5 from the British Council, and in 2022 they obtained a Lab leadership course from EMBO Solutions GmbH.
