Adrien Saliou has a diverse work experience in the fields of molecular biology, genomics, and microbiology. Adrien started their career as a Junior Research Scientist in Microbiology at Harvard Medical School, where they studied the CRISPR system. Adrien then worked as a PhD Student in Immunology and Infectious Diseases at INSERM U1043 - CPTP, developing virological tools to characterize HIV-1 resistance mechanisms. Adrien later joined Institut Curie as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Oncology, focusing on oncology research. In 2015, they joined BIOASTER as a Senior Scientist, Molecular Biology and NGS, where they developed new molecular techniques and managed R&D projects. Adrien also served as the Genomics and Transcriptomics Team Leader and is currently the Head of the OMICS Unit at BIOASTER. Additionally, Adrien co-founded KRIOYA, a Peruvian street food company, in 2019.
Adrien Saliou completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in immunology and infectious diseases from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued an Engineer in Biotechnology degree from Ecole Supérieure Biotechnologie Strasbourg - Universités de Strasbourg, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Basel from 2006 to 2009. Adrien also attended Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles, specializing in Physics & Chemistry, from 2003 to 2006.
