Monica Sullivan

Ms. Sullivan has deep experience in intellectual property and contracts including previously serving as the Head of Intellectual Property at Diversa Corporation (now BASF), among other roles during her 10 year tenure there. As the head of Diversa's intellectual property group she managed a robust patent portfolio including responsibility for IP strategy, US and foreign prosecution, interferences and oppositions, litigation strategy, landscape analyses, freedom to operate analyses, diligence proceedings, licensing, technology transfer and biodiversity access. Before joining Diversa Corporation, Ms. Sullivan served in multiple roles for six years at Stratagene Cloning Systems, a molecular biology company based in La Jolla, California, including responsibility for patent prosecution, litigation, contracts, and management of an antibody licensing program with over 2,000 licensees. Ms. Sullivan attended the University of California, San Diego and has a background in Molecular Biology.
