Shachar Carmi has a diverse and extensive work experience. Shachar started their career as an Industrial Engineer at Yissum Consulting in 1991. Shachar then went on to co-own and manage a chain of music stores and a music-themed restaurant at Taglit Music and Productions from 1993 to 1996. After that, they worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at ClickSoftware, supporting the sales and marketing of a software product for optimized scheduling and routing of Field Service Engineers from 1996 to 1999.
From 1999 to 2007, Carmi was the Co-Owner and Sales and Marketing Manager at Milestone Agriculture, Inc., a large producer of young plants. Shachar managed a sales team and was responsible for over 1,000 active accounts.
Carmi then served as the Product Manager for Cucurbits at Hazera Genetics from 2007 to 2009. Shachar was responsible for marketing watermelons, melons, and cucumbers and developing long-term plans for new and existing products and markets.
From 2009 to 2014, Carmi worked at BioBee Sde Eliyahu Ltd. as the Sales and Marketing Director. Shachar was responsible for the sales and marketing of the company's products, which yielded annual sales of about $25M USD.
Next, they served as the Head of Nutrition Division at Enzymotec from 2014 to 2016. The company is a leading producer of innovative lipid-based ingredients.
After that, Carmi worked as the VP of Sales and Marketing at LOG - Pharma Primary Packaging from 2016 to 2018. The company is a privately owned primary pharma packaging manufacturer.
Currently, Carmi holds the position of VP Sales and Marketing at BioBee Sde Eliyahu Ltd., a role they have held since 2018. Shachar is responsible for worldwide marketing and business development for the company.
Shachar Carmi attended Yahud High School from 1978 to 1982. Later, from 1987 to 1991, they pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering at Tel Aviv University, earning a BSc.
