Front-End Engineer at Biobot Analytics

Maria Kravtsova is a front-end engineer at Biobot Analytics. Maria has also worked as an engineer at Give Lively and pitch.Me. At Give Lively, they were responsible for squashing bugs and working on new features using Ruby on Rails and React. Maria also updated the payment form that uses Stripe and PayPal payment processors. Maria converted the ticket builder feature to use React in order to improve its maintainability. Maria also led the release of the new product - Team Fundraising using React, React Router and Context API. In addition, they updated the UI and UX of the existing peer to peer fundraising feature. Moreover, they introduced testing tools for the front end like Jest, React Testing Library. At pitch.Me, they assisted in the development and weekly release cycles of Android and iOS applications built in React Native. Maria also rebuilt pitch.Me’s web application in React using MobX for state management, allowing for shared front end form validation and business logic across platforms. Furthermore, they created end to end services from the front end to Elasticsearch cluster using feathersJS. Lastly, they improved the maintainability of systems and instilled confidence in managers and developers by implementing automated testing using Jest, Enzyme, and Travis.

Maria Kravtsova has earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Western Michigan University, as well as an Associate of Arts (AA) with Honors in Business Administration and Management, General from Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
